some of them claim to work over time if they are collagen based. then there are some that have like peppermint oil in them that make you lips tingle that make your lips fuller instantly. My best advice is buy some peppermint oil and apply under lipstick ,let dry first though before applying lipstick. I've done this and got as good or better results than alot of products that I have tried. Peppermint oil at herbal store
