i got thin lips so i tried out over the counter lip plumping glosses to experience the results. well, today i got this 'colorfill' lipgloss and as i put on, i feel this tingling sensation (similar to when your feet fall asleep, tiny needle/bubble poking/bouncing on my lips). i wonder why it feels like that, and how can all these get lips plumper? will it wrinkle/age out my natural lip skin when not used? do these things really plump anyways? i guess it's a temporary solution.
i suppose real injection (i hear they don't last that long) probably make lips look un natural... (?)How come lip plumper can plump?
The makeup companies use mostly botanical products which help to temporarily plump the tissue in your lips. That creates a tingly, almost numbing/burning feeling which is usually just for a few minutes. The result? You're left with slightly swollen lips that look a little ';bee-stung';. Other than cosmetic enhancement, i.e. fat implants in your lips, there is no permanent way to achieve this! Embrace your not-so-plump lips and use the plumping lip products as you desire! I am sure you are beautiful just as you are!How come lip plumper can plump?
it hurts a bit cause the stuff has to go into the lips if u put on to much it looks unreal
The tingling is because these lip plumpers work by irritating the kin to make it redden and swell. They do this with ingredients like cinnamon, peppermint and caffeine, so these will not ultimately harm your lips or cause any problems down the road (unless you're allergic to these ingredients). With real injections, no they are not permanent, and are often botox (which is actually poison) or fat from..uh..other places. As to lookign unnatural, have you looked at the lips on the female judge of America's Next Top Model? Pretty clearly fake.
It depends on the ingredient. Most use cinnamon which irritates and swells the lips. It used to be rattle snake venom used, but obviously this isn't done anymore.
It's got something in it that basically irritates your lips to make them look bigger, but wears off eventually, sort of like when your lips start to get chapped they plump up and become more red...so it IS just a temporary solution.
it feels in the cracks in your lips i think
lip plumpers have things in them that irritate your lips a bit, that's the tingling sensation you get. because of the irritation, blood rushes to that area, in other words your lips just swell up a little bit. it's just temporary.
hope that helps!
