i got thin lips so i tried out over the counter lip plumping glosses to experience the results. well, today i got this 'colorfill' lipgloss and as i put on, i feel this tingling sensation (similar to when your feet fall asleep, tiny needle/bubble poking/bouncing on my lips). i wonder why it feels like that, and how can all these get lips plumper? will it wrinkle/age out my natural lip skin when not used? do these things really plump anyways? i guess it's a temporary solution.

The makeup companies use mostly botanical products which help to temporarily plump the tissue in your lips. They do this with ingredients like cinnamon, peppermint and caffeine, so these will not ultimately harm your lips or cause any problems down the road (unless you're allergic to these ingredients). With real injections, no they are not permanent, and are often botox (which is actually poison) or fat from..uh..other places. As to lookign unnatural, have you looked at the lips on the female judge of America's Next Top Model? Pretty clearly fake.
It depends on the ingredient. Most use cinnamon which irritates and swells the lips. It used to be rattle snake venom used, but obviously this isn't done anymore.
It's got something in it that basically irritates your lips to make them look bigger, but wears off eventually, sort of like when your lips start to get chapped they plump up and become more red...so it IS just a temporary solution.

lip plumpers have things in them that irritate your lips a bit, that's the tingling sensation you get. because of the irritation, blood rushes to that area, in other words your lips just swell up a little bit. it's just temporary.

From my experence lip plumper works well(not magical) but it fills in fine line and adds a bit of volume the one i use is lip venom it can get a bit pricey for the amount but if works well.
and if you dont wanna spent alot of money on lip plumber you can make it at home
you take cayanne pepper
a lip balm( the ones in the pots like mac lip conditioners)
and mint exteacts to cool the lips)
you mix it WOOO lip plumper
but be careful my friend tried a lip plumper and ended up haveing a rely bad allergic reaction and had to get medicationLip plumper, how well does it work?

I think if you have thin lips you should just lipgloss. different kinds of lipgloss because they make your lips look fuller. I have big lips and I wear lipgloss which make them look bigger. So I think lipgloss would help better than anything else.

Cinnamon, peppermint, and pepper are a natural ';plumpers'; but my concoction just made my lips really irritated.
If you want to try it though, by all means, do. Just melt some chap-stick or use vaseline, stir in some cinnamon, peppermint extract, and ground cayenne pepper, let solidify (if you melted, Vaseline's fine as is), and apply.
The pepper can smell a little harsh and not very pretty, you can stick with the cinnamon and peppermint if you'd like.
Good luck ! Hope this works for you. If not, I would just spend a little bit of money for a lip plumper at a convenience or drug store. Maybelline's VolumeXLSeduction glosses work very well and are not very expensive.
Well the closest thing to homemade lip plumper that I know of is to add peppermint oil to any lip gloss that you already have. Peppermint oil plumps the lips pretty well. You can also buy ';Wet-Slicks'; lip gloss that already has peppermint oil in it. You have to make sure you buy the right kind though. It will have a blue cap and should say ';Crest Peppermint Oil'; on it. It is available at Walmart for about $5. It's what I use.
I did some research and I hope this helps. Just be careful, also, you should know that a lot of the products in lip plumpers are actually used to block blood vessels or make them swell, and PURPOSELY irritate your skin, which causes a plumping effect.

Buy some NIACIN and add it - $3 - $25
Its an acid form of B3, and can come in powder, liquid, or pills. You should buy the liquid. It also helps create a natural rosy color for your lips. Just don't use too much!
CAYENNE PEPPER- $2-$5
This is used to also irritate the lips and can be found at your grocery store.

Lip Venom by DuWop, no doubt about it, it's amazing. You can get it at Sephora or online. It's about $16, but worth it. Also I got some Sexy Motherpucker lip plumping gloss at Target, made by the Soap%26amp;Glory company, it works very well too, and is about $10, and comes in a few different shades (all are very glossy, just a hint of color.)

%26amp; have been scrubing it on my lips over the sink. %26amp; i think it works, becase the sugar exfoliates your lips %26amp; gets rid of the dead skin %26amp; the olive oil moistruizes them. therefore making them bigger, fuller lips!!! =]
I really love Urban Decay 'Big Fatty' lip plumper, it's great and plumping up lips and has a tingling sensation - but most lip plumpers do.
Or you could try a cheaper option and just eat spicy chilli foods - spicy food plumps up lips :)

scrubbing your lips with a toothbrush will make them swell and get pinker, but only for a short while nothing permanent

if you rub them alot they'll become plump, also vaseline makes them a little bigger. and usually citrus makes them get a little bigger. but i don't recommend lip plumpers they don't work
Well, I'm sure most girls have lip liner so you can use that (IF YOU HAVE IT AROUND THE HOUSE)

vaseline, apply a bit before you sleep and just a few times during the day. your lips will look and feel healthy and smooth. lip liner is a good idea if you just want temporary results.

go to prayer and fasting for god to give u plumping lip. am looking 4 small lips and u are looking 4 big lip.
I brought the PureLogicol one from here and it worked great although it is a bit pricey!
There are some cheaper ones but I do not know how well they work.

victorias secret has different lines of lip plumpers and having tried most of them i dont kno if they work my lips are already sorta plump as it is but i still liked the gloss it was nice and smelled good the tingly feeling didnt feel so bad either

well this is what jessica simpson does she puts on a lip stick of her choice and then cover it with a smooth lipgloss [[ i do notrecommend botox]] lol howeber you speelll it !
Lipfusion or Urban Decay Big Fatty lip plumper.
You can use a lip liner to get the effect. Simply line your top lip line make sure it is smooth and not too noticable after aply your lipstick if it is not glossy apply some gloss over it or use glossy lip color, or ask a cosmetician to give you a more detailed look. as well as you could try collagen if you are up to it.

Well you could go get lip injections from a plastic surgeon or you could try some products like one at sephora, and even Victorias secret has a lip plumper... not sur how great they work but its worth a try...
Exfoliate it with a cold wash cloth then apply vaseline or chapstick for protection. It will work the same as using a lip stick or gloss that says it plumps. And you'll save...however much they sell those gimmicks for.

Have you heard of The brand Big Sexy? They make hairspray, gels and also a Product called big sexy lips. It's in a red and black lettered package.
I use Avons lip plumper and it works pretty good

Outline your lips with the liner then fill in between with your lipstick. Never draw fake lips, always stay within the natural lines of your lips.
If you want your lips to look fuller you need to apply a lighter shade in the center of your lips.
A gloss lipstick will make your lips look fuller. Neutral shades will match everything while a medium color will make your lips look bigger.
