How come lip plumper can plump?

i got thin lips so i tried out over the counter lip plumping glosses to experience the results. well, today i got this 'colorfill' lipgloss and as i put on, i feel this tingling sensation (similar to when your feet fall asleep, tiny needle/bubble poking/bouncing on my lips). i wonder why it feels like that, and how can all these get lips plumper? will it wrinkle/age out my natural lip skin when not used? do these things really plump anyways? i guess it's a temporary solution.

The tingling is because these lip plumpers work by irritating the kin to make it redden and swell. They do this with ingredients like cinnamon, peppermint and caffeine, so these will not ultimately harm your lips or cause any problems down the road (unless you're allergic to these ingredients). With real injections, no they are not permanent, and are often botox (which is actually poison) or fat from..uh..other places. As to lookign unnatural, have you looked at the lips on the female judge of America's Next Top Model? Pretty clearly fake.
It depends on the ingredient. Most use cinnamon which irritates and swells the lips. It used to be rattle snake venom used, but obviously this isn't done anymore.
It's got something in it that basically irritates your lips to make them look bigger, but wears off eventually, sort of like when your lips start to get chapped they plump up and become more red...so it IS just a temporary solution.

lip plumpers have things in them that irritate your lips a bit, that's the tingling sensation you get. because of the irritation, blood rushes to that area, in other words your lips just swell up a little bit. it's just temporary.

From my experence lip plumper works well(not magical) but it fills in fine line and adds a bit of volume the one i use is lip venom it can get a bit pricey for the amount but if works well.





and if you dont wanna spent alot of money on lip plumber you can make it at home

a lip balm( the ones in the pots like mac lip conditioners)


and mint exteacts to cool the lips)


you mix it WOOO lip plumper





but be careful my friend tried a lip plumper and ended up haveing a rely bad allergic reaction and had to get medicationLip plumper, how well does it work?

I use victoria secrets lip plumper and like it alot ! I mean the change is not dramatic but there is a nice change and make your lips look healthy and plump! and it is a lot cheaper then some other plumpers out there!

I've used two other types which did work but one was oil based and tasted feral and the other I loved but have forgotten what its called but it tasted like cinnnamon and left my lips really smooth. Pink tube, sponge applicator, silver lid used to be around $40 au I think. Anyone know?

I think if you have thin lips you should just lipgloss. different kinds of lipgloss because they make your lips look fuller. I have big lips and I wear lipgloss which make them look bigger. So I think lipgloss would help better than anything else.
i think my friend had that did it look like lip gloss? lol yea i used it cause i thought it was lip gloss and my lips got a lil plump after i used it but it didnt last
NAYY!!! ha! i have it and its a waste of money! if you are looking to plump your lips your better off getting the little injections, even though that is still kind of extreme! haha! i like it as a lip gloss because it stays on. but no use as a plumper

There's a lip plumper called ';Too Faced Lip Injection'; they sell it at sephora for 18.50 its worth it. its glossy and it comes in different colors and it really plumps up your lips and makes them very red! It does sting a little at first but it goes away after a couple of minutes.


and it doesn't sting as much when you re-apply it.
